Raid efficiency

Postby blodkorpen » 18 May 2010, 16:27

Hey guys
Couldnt really find an appropriate section for this post, so I just popped it in general.
In general, i'll put some tips and tricks about BRC raiding efficiency in here. Ofcourse this is only ment as guidance for those who wants to learn a bit more. Any discussion about points I have made here is wide open.

Firstly I'll cover some core classes and what is considered to be quite crucial. Also, i'll try and make way with some of the more "mythical" believs about sertain things;)

Heavies
You'r heavies are the very core of a strong raid. Guardians and Dt's are up front and centre to this concept. No news there.
FACT - A good Dt will allways generate more agro than a guard. The general populace is under the believe that it is the other way round. Ofcourse player operation of the class is the biggest factor, however when measuring this in equal skill a DT can generate much more agro and have higher survivabillity. This is invaluable on boss fights. In trash clearing and fights like Ahazu it's a slightly different story. A polearm guard with cry of havoc feated can generate the needed agro for full burn in a much shorter time frame than a DT. But give a dt that extra 10 seconds and he'll not let go of that mob/boss untill you scrape his remains of the wall.
Guardians: Polearm guards are NOT better than SnS spec at generating agro or maintaining it. THis misconception comes from the fact that polearm guards generate alot of "shock" agro in a short period of time. Doing the same with a SnS guard is extremely difficult and requires some serious player skill. If you master this you are truely a master of your class. Thus it is generally preferred to actually have pole-arm guards for a few reasons. First and foremost if you have "sufficient" healing, that is to say healing that is propper and functional, a polearm guard's lower mitigation value has very little effect. Doing bigger pulls and managing them with 2 polearm specced guards is thus the ideal scenario for those good clean and FAST brc runs. Just do NOT forget those 5 feats in Cry hof havoc! As I have mentioned, their "shock" agro capabillity makes them ideal for taking agro in times when it is so needed.
A polearm guard is recomended to have: 5 points in cry of havoc (10 points in juggernaught tree), 5 points in sustained rage, atleast 2 points in hatefull strike and combat mastery is ofc a must.
You will basically rotate three combos throughout your tanking life with a polearm guard. The last two ranks of Flashing arc and Storm Strike. The lower rank of flashing arc is a simple 2 button combo and is thus faster to perform. This will be your opening attack. The higher rank you mainly use to sustain agro. The guard combo is of no hate value nor dps. Thus using guard rank 1 is a MUST. It still gives you the exact same armor bonus as the last rank, but it performs in a fraction of the time. Something like 2 seconds if even that long. Cry of havoc and irretate are there for your free disposal and I reccomend you learn this for your self. A good tip though: You want to see them both on cool down all the time ;)

Dark Templar: Truely thee most technical class in the game to master. Also the toughest nut in the game by a mile. Dt's are not as valuable in trash clearing due to the mechanics of "seal of chaos". They can do their job in that scenario just fine though. Grabbing a loose mob and brawling it out untill the raid finally gets the mob. A dt is also less likely to cry out for a big heal than a guard when ignored ;)
What you should focus on with the DT is seal of chaos and its numerous add-ons. It is the single most highest hate generating abillity in the game. With the reaping Chaos effect, which is gained from fully feating Mystical Bane, it will generate so much hate that most guards with provoke will have severe difficulty getting agro of u...should that even be needed.
I can not make any recomendations on what is "needed" on a DT other than the standard tanking feats, due to the multitude of functioning builds out there. I would suggest you take a finer look at the DT's magical health tap capabillity. Things like Vile zone of gluttony along with reaping chaos and the mystical bane combo. One thing you SHOULD be aware of: The improved (fully feated) aura of infusion heals you less than a conq's UNFEATED furious inspiration. In other words its total crap:P

Conquerer: If one of the classes could be called the best class in the game, it would be the conquerer without any doubt or valid counter argument. In the right hands a DPS (carnage) conq can do the second MOST dps of all classes. Second only to a Necromancer. Not even an assasin has the fundamental abillity to do more - skill vs skill ofc. A brute conq can tank just as well as any other class in the game and has the highest hate generating capabillities of ALL soldier classes. This is due to the inherent dps from the brute tree. True, their mitigation leaves much to wish for, but the conq has its own holy cleansing in the form of Overcome The Odds. On top of that, Blessed Conquest makes him imortal for a few seconds. None of this is news to any of us who knows the class ofcourse. SO which conq is best? THe mythical offtank or a dpsser? Offtanking does not exist..as my rule. You are either a tank, healer or dpsser. There's no inbetween. Saying you are "offtank" means your build is so screwed up that you cant really dps nor can you tank or do anything other than take up a space in a raid. Not to be harsh, ofcourse.
Brutes: They add that extra trash puller/tanker into the raid = decreases the time you will actually spend in the instance. They can also tank EVERY SINGLE BOSS in brc. Generally you dont see people doing that...in pugs.
In wing 3 you want and need conqs to run the bowls for you. Accept that role and dont say "i dont know how. Learn:) In wing 1 brutes can take care of gargoyles at the first boss encounter, ENSURE second highest on agro at Yaremka and rob any guard of agro on the last boss. (this is bad manners btw)
Carnage: Best buffing capabillity of all conqs. Second highest overall dps in the game and can tank any mob in brc if handled correctly. If he has defiance fully feated, to the tank group with him - a nice 940 heal every 30 seconds. If not he goes to the ROGUES group. Skirmish (10 weapon damage, stamina + mana regen) + hoarfrost is what the doctor ordered!
- Point being both brute and carnage is an excellent addition as long as it is handled CORRECTLY.

BRC MUSTS for all soldiers - If you are not tanking it, YOU DO NOT STEAL AGRO from another tank. This is BAD play and just not very nice of you. If you are not tanking, you go fetch something to tank unless your raid leader strictly informs you differently or you are carnage conq. 2 x dt's + 2 x guards = 4 mobs being tanked. Add one mob to that list for every brute in the raid.
Lastly: Tanking is NOT about the highest hate generator or the highest survivabillity, but it is about YOUR abillity to handle your class correctly. Nobody is saying be a pro or go home. Nor are you expected to be the tanking allmighty of the day. It's simply doing your job. Once you do your job correctly and efficiently the ENTIRE raid fairs so much better. Unless your main pillar of support fails you..the dreaded healers!!

Healers/priests
Healers are as crucial as tanks and vice verca. Its a simbiant circle that creates happy tanks or very very angry tanks. Yes we have seen the kind of healers, those dirty rotten ones. The ones that compete for the HPS stats on the parser. You are the kind of healers that get tanks killed!But..but..higher hps means i heal more...right? WRONG! All that is telling me, is that you are overwriting the single most importan healer in the game - bear shaman. You dont have to like it. You dont have to agree with it. A bear shaman does the blue heals and the rest of you are there for your groups green heals and the occational big heal. The first and foremost concept of any healer is the easiest, but most commonly overlooked aspect of said archtype. The green heal! Your very first step in any conflict is to get your green heal going. Yet so many people do this after 2-3 spells/combos. As your archtype DICTATES, you are a healer. And heal you shall..you must. This does not mean pre-heal ofcourse! The blue heals are your second priority, however the method and timing of this is slightly more complicated than a simple old green heal. Each class has its own mechanic. This is where some frustration and anger might come from..BEAR SHAMANS!! Yes folks, the only people in the game that has the right to use rank 6 blue heals are bear shamans. As a tos or pom, you MUST use a reduced rank of your blue heals when entering brc. As a bear shaman, you MUST have bloodflow fully feated. SImple as that. The initial burst and secondary "tics" you get froma fully feated bloodflow is more than what any of the other heals can do. But all is not sorrowfull for you poms and tosses....
Bear Shaman - As mentioned above, atleast ONE BearShaman in the raid must have a fully feated bloodflow heal. The feats involved in this are: Natures Wrath and blood healing. Also, a bear shaman is the single most powerfull debuffer in the game. THis is where your responsibillities could shift from maintank healer to rogue group healer. It is very well possible to be feated for both rolls and I would suggest you try and do so.
For focus on debuffing you would want to check out feats like manifestation of the forest (physical wrack)and rune of agression. Main tank healer might want to have deft renewel for that nice little evade buff on your green heals! Rune of regrowth is like a second green heal and is allways welcome! For those that wants your raid to do more dps, check out "rampage". If you are in a rogue group using rune of agression and have rampage buffing..!! Serious smacking power right there! The bear shaman is the all holy for melee dps and tanking!!
Tempest of Set You are to casters as what the bear shaman is to melees..
ALl those nifty buffs for magic damage. Fully feated idol of set + coalesce ether + storm crown = the holy grail for caster dps! A tos withtout those better do some serious dps, or else you are taking up space..
Dont even bother feating "faithfull of set" or anything that boosts your heals. It simply isnt needed. The casters that will be in your care arent tanking anything, if they are then curse your tanks! You are the nuker of all healers. A tos does his green heal and does his dps buffs then starts to nuke like there's no tomorrow. Just dont forget your place in the big heal rotation!
Priest of Mitra Also, really no need for you to go bother with feating blue heals. And who sais the TOS is the nuker of the priests?? A pom can dish out 11k crits and still heal his part. Play around with your feats, BUT be sure you have blessing of mitra and holy cleansing in your pocket. Then focus on dps. No reason you should be bored by the trivials of spamming a heal every 20 seconds. If a pom is below the top 10 on dps, then that pom is harbouring some serious misconceptions about his class! Really think all those points in general is "usefull" ? Really think you should feat your blue heals?? Plan on joining a raid without bearshamans and tosses any time soon are you? :P

BRC MUSTS for all healers - DPS DPS DPS DPS. This is so understated on healers. Bear shamans can whip out a good 500-800 dps on average so you SHOULD be able to land in the top 15 for dps on a wing 1 2 or 3. A pom can make a necro hide his face in shame! You SHOULD be doing 1.1k + dps at the very least. We want to see those 11k crits! Pom's should be on the top 8 dps! Tosses vary from scenario to scenario, but a general 800+ dps is expected with culture gear or 600+ with t1. Top 8 it is for you too!
The obvious priority is maintaining your heals at all times. Bear shaman shoulder the biggest responsibillity here, but all healers should be wary of this. You never know when that dodgy shammy is slacking, lagging or who knows what. ANd also to remember what Big Heal priority your raid leader assigns! If he doesnt say it, ASK HIM!. The shammies will allways be in the thick of the fight, and should the raid be scattered their blue heals wont reach the people in the back. Poms and tosses have their eyes on that arena! And let it be known - There are few things as annoying as a pom or a tos that are blocking a melee class's movement path in a MELEE battle. KNOW YOUR PLACE! Doing a big heal doesnt mean you stand there for 20 seconds. Get in get out. DPS DPS DSP. Poms, tosses, demoes, rangers, necroes are all ranged - ill let you figure the rest of that one out by your selves..;)

All the rest and a final word
Mages, rangers - you are there for one single purpose. To nuke the living hell out of anything thing that is being tanked, but somehow this goes awry.. We sometimes tend to nuke what isnt being tanked? The easiest job in the game yet we can sometimes really make a mess of it. And to make it worse, we start doing funny things like ..running? This is ofcourse a big no no. The tank is more important than you. THou shall not run! Just die like a man and wait for a res. If the tanks are any good, they will get agro of you soon enough. If you run..well. Try playing with a tank. Then try doing a combo while running after a mob, that is running after a necro who's unwitted pets are still smacking the mob. DO the raid a favour and mind what you are doing. Spellweaving is YOUR FRIEND. There's no reason why you shouldnt be spellweaving. Correct management of spellweaving will have you doing it for a long time without coelesce ether or conq buffs!! Learn it and you are a real asset to your crew! Yes, your spells have range..25 meters or more. Does it do more damage at max range? DOes it make the raids life easier if you stand 25 meters away and happen to pull agro? Does it help them if you then continue to run? NO and NO and F#$K NO. Tosses, demoes necros and rangers will all huddle up in a nice tight group. Tosses and mages will Spellweave and rangers will do their thing. If any of u happen to take agro - TRUST your tanks. If they fail once or twice - they have more to learn than you do! Its a much harder job to manage agro than it is to nuke! Help your tanks achieve that goal. If it wasnt for them, you'd be dead!..dead more? :P Point being: you affect your raid NEGATIVELY when you go stand alone on some spot and go dps apesh!t. Be a team player, there's 24 of us. If all 24 of us do our job, we got tons of fun..AND LOOT!
Dont forget those all important debuffs. Dont forget your protection spells! And now the BIG question: Do i really need to feat hate decrease? NO..and YES. And ONLY yes if you plan to be THAT moron that summons 11 pets and curse swear at the tank when u die. If your that guy that starts nuking BLINDLY before a mob is under control. If your THAT guy or gal..YES for the love of god feat it. If you know how to play your class, you will never need to feat it. yes it goes both ways, the tanks should be able to do their job too. You cant do a whole lot when the tank looses agro EVEN after you waited 5 seconds for him to build agro. Here's why you dont need hate decrease feated: A full t1 tempest guard can and SHOULD be able to sustain 2300 dps worth of agro. That is to say, those nice crits that go 4k and upwards should compliment your local dps to about 2000 and the tank should be able to cope with that if he does what he should. Same goes for a DT, but ofcourse conqs can handle you being hyper and spamming everything you got within 2 miliseconds.
Barbarians are the one class that nothing really needs to be said about. GO reaver and go APE! All round good dps and some usable debuffs! Sins, however are a bit tricky after the update. We like to detonate..miasma..
Keep doing that in the opening phases of a fight and you'll rid us of your ill favoured approach for the rest of the fight:) I generally dont mind if sins die in the first few seconds of a fight. I dont waste combat resses on a sin EVER. Just learn that doing peak dps within 5 seconds has a logical outcome - smoke break, tea break, stare at your screen.
So this is my little opening input on a "generalised" approach to brc with the focus on the core classes. I'll add-edit bits and pieces of extra jazz in here as time goes on. Feel free to ask me in-game if you wish to have something added here about a specific class ect..anything in general. This is to promote discussion and also to be a source of information specifically aimed at brc raiding. Brc is currently STILL my favourite raid and I truely enjoy doing it.

BRC Boss enouncters
We all know the "tactics". But we whipe and whipe untill we have a near mutiny on our hands!
I'll cover a few PROPPER fullburn tactics for boss encounters in BRC.

Gargoyle Master
Sure its the second easiest fight in all of brc, but that doesnt mean we cant improve. That doesnt mean we cant nail him in under 10 minutes!
Every single range dpsser should go behind the couldren in one of the corners and begin spellweaving immediately. There should be a wide space open around the guy tanking him (3-4meter radius). As soon as the first 2 gargoyles are brought, the pullers will take them directly next to the boss. Then all hell breaks loose. You shall nuke them like you'v never nuked before. Whoever is tanking them must be awake!! Sacrefice some mitigation for dps or hate generation. If this means changing a manuver, changing gear or changing a covenant..DO IT! The healers will keep you up and you will keep them tanked. THis will b repeated with all gargoyls. After transform the fight is pretty straight foward. Spellweaving isnt reccomended and pet necroes should mind what they are doing. Accept the logic that a feared tank cant save you :P

Yaremka
This IS the easiest fight in BRC but gets fouled up so bad. ALot of people use timers for the more or less 40 second interval between "enraged" status. However this is really unneeded and infact is quite a big contributer as to why many raids whipe at this fairly simple encounter. What few people realise is that pacifying this boss prior to the full countdown (as many does) you effectively add that amount of seconds to the countdown. In a good dps raid this wouldnt really be a problem, but when the fight drags on you'll start seeing globes that are inoperable. Its not a bug, its the mechanic of the fight as the globes have a cooldown!
THe SAFE tactic is to have 2 necroes and 2 rangers OR demoes (or combination of both) on the globes. Each of these "clickers" will have the simple responsibillity of simply..selecting the boss. Thats it. All you have to do is have the boss selected at all times and keep your eyes pinned on his cast bar. Not to hard for you, is it? As soon as you see "enrage" in the cast bar, you MERELY rightclick on the globe. If you are a worry wart - ou spam rightclick the globe if it makes you feel better. And if you do what you are supposed to then he would be pacified before he gives the tank a whopper of a shot to the head. THe tank WILL survive this shot but with some missing hp.. And this is where it is STRONGLY recomended that the tank who is on him uses that allmight "cunning deflection" abillity. DOnt trust your clickers. Believe they WILL fail. Use your cunning deflection when you see enrage on the cast bar. If the clickers succeed in their simple task ..GOOD. If not, you wont notice it!
Apart from the rocket science of clicking a spherical object and using a one click abillity, the rest of the raid has a really simple job. This fight is where us tanks have all the fun. This is where we here the assigned maintank cry out in agony "BUT IM MAIN TANK!!!". Yes folks. In this fight ALL tank-able heavies do your very best to get agro, granted that your backs are to the pillar. "but i thought i was supposed to fight for second on agro" - yes, sure. Tell me, do you have a cast bar that tells you "you have now arrived second on agro" ? NO? Indeed. Its pure simple logic. Of all the tanks going for agro, one will come out on top and stay on top. The rest will maintain at second third ect ect place. A whopping 54% mitigation is regomended for this fight. It is also recomended to sacrefice some dps and hate generate for armor mitigation. Dont be an idiot and use provoke manuver if you are a polearm guard. And AWAY with green peace! The tanks dont deserve one rotation before we do dps. There is no reason why this fight starts with debuffs and progress agonisingly slow towards "higher dps". Yaremka aint your friend! At first contant, ALL raiders will hug his ugly butt and start doing some worthy dps. If the tank knows what he's doing, he'll spam hatefull strikes + cry of havoc/seal of chaos and some dps combos. Two comboes is ALL he needs. Now, after the first pacify (some1 on vent MUST shout this out!!) every single one of you will run to the SIDES of the arena and give the tanks right of passage. If you dont do this, I encourage all ppl in the raid to scream at your slow ass:P Be a team player! Ariving at the other side of the room, casters will hug the boss fromt he rear and start spellweaving and nuke the hell out of him. DO NOT use hand of doom (demos) or deathgod (necros). You want to last the fight with some good stamina and mana. GOing in and out of spellweaving will build up those negative buffs so pace yourself. You will find a good rythm and skip every second rotation or so - depending on how you handle your self. This in turn is good to lower your hate generation. THis fight can EASILY be done in 4 rotations. Personally i'v seen it done in 3. It's doable and you dont need pro's for that. You just need cohersion.

Ahazu
My personal favourite of all the bosses. Tankable by any of the soldier classes. Yes conqs can actually do it easier than guards! POlearm guard has one advantage here - your reach. THis fight takes about 2-3 attempts to master if you are a tank, however the critical failure occurs when healing is done out of sync or just too late or too early. The best way is FULL BURN! Yes folks, this guy aint your friend either and you want him DEAD! Firstly: the adds take exactly one minute to spawn. THis one minute untill the first add spawn is the most crucial in the fight. I VERY effective strategy here is to have your tank charge in and tank him on the spot. When the tank reaches 50% hp, a holy cleansing should be used on him. Please inform the tank how many seconds he has left on HC!!! Help the poor bastard. By the time the HC has worn of our meaty shield should by know have a nice build up of some agro. He will procede moving the boss in whichever direction he chose. Now, up untill this moment we would have done "slacking" dps. No heavy stuff. As soon as the first adds spawn, a second guard/dt/conq will use an aoe agro abillity and pull them away from the boss as we all know. THe adds will be nuked down by MELEE DPS ONLY + one tos + one pom. Every other ranged unit, that is to say demo, necro, second tos (in mage group), RANGERS, will stand as far as possible IN THE ALLEY where the tank is moving the boss. You will be spellweaving and nuking like there's no tomorrow. Do keep a thought open about the time...in one minute you'll be seeing more adds. You sertianly do not want to be that nut that splashed some aoe on the adds and got mauled to death. In between add spawns, that is to say once adds are DEAD, all melees go in on the boss for some burst dps. Since you will be off the boss on every add spawn, you have little to worry about regarding agro. Mind the green puff stuff will you..And for the love of all things that dictate common logic - The tank has right of way and so does his bear shaman. If you block them you will be screamed at! :P

incubus/succubus
Easy enough. A tos, necro, demo plays ring-a-rosie with the red bastard. THe rest of you focus on succubus. Rangers pull adds - how can this ever fail? It CAN be done alot faster though. The biggest hitch in this fight is the inabillity to "stop dps" when the succubus has been broken off her return path. The RL should not have to be saying this on vent every damn time. BE A TEAM PLAYER. If your not a tank, you clear the space between the succubus and the corner so she can be pulled there. Once in the corner, nuke the hell out of her. Every time you pull agro off the tank while he tryis to position her, YOU negatively affect the effective time in which this raid could have done the fight. TEAM PLAY! This fight is too easy to fail :)

Chata
What a bastard to kill sometimes! There are 2 main tactics (with some variations) use within this fight. Assuming that you'v all been to this fight, you will be familiar with the pug tactic. The tank group with rogue dpssers (or carnage conq in the mix) follows chata around and nukes him down untill 60% hp when he transforms. A group in the middle of the room pulls the saturos while the remaining tanks pull the utamons to the stairs dps group. The utamons will be rooted into place while a guard uses cry of havoc to SECURE agro on them (other tanks do what u can, white hit occationally, to secure agro). Once they shrink you dps them down. This we all know. Due to the various aspects of this fight happening at the same time, we experience whipes here more than any other fight. The biggest flaw here is communication and the lack of players with microphones. Yes people - we need to know who's using a single stun. We need to warn that blind player that he has a utamon on him and needs to run. We need to know, we must hear!. The raid leader cant controll all aspects of the fight and this is after all a 24 man team sport! Best thing to do here is shout out on vent "MY quicksand is used", "my single on THIS utamon", "nuke utamons NOW". Dont be shy on using vent, no1 is looking for a hot date on an mmo!
Crucial points in this fight, besides utamon controll, are the EFFECTIVE and immediate pulling of satorus. Burning him down as fast as you can, but NOT doing so untill all utamons are out of the way. Saturos puller - its in your hands to pull him furthest away from any utamons, within the square ofcourse (or is it a rectangle?). The boss dps group + tank MUST be warned when the 25 second curve has arrived. When you hear "25" seconds - EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU must return to the centre of the arena. Only if you see the tank going to chata may you follow in. We all know this. Bear shaman, your manifestations have a 25 second duration. Use them only once per teleport and NO WHERE NEAR the adds.
The second tactic for chata is faster, more effective - BUT requires more disipline.
In this tactic Demos, necroes, tosses, rangers, poms (all ranged dps) HUGGGGG in the very centre of the square (rectangle!?), melee dps on the flanks of this formation and ofcourse tanks stand on the edges of the square. This formation MUST be kept in this fashion or else the boss tank/dps group will have serious difficulty moving after teleports!!!! So the boss teleports, spawns 3 utamons and one saturos! A conq will pull the satorus and take him on the furthest side of this formation - that is to say FURTHEST away from where the utamons are being dragged to. The utamon pullers will pull their utamons as close to each other as possible on one side of the formation. Its not the end of the fight if they are a bit spread out - just make sure the tanks have agro on them! Now, the tos "quicksand" or demo "hands of the underworld" or hox aoe root will be used on 2 or more utamons as per usual. Any single stun/root on loose utamons. THis is where it gets SLIGHTLY tricky. Communication here is very important!!! While the utamons are being rooted/stunned, the 2 rangers + the satorus tank (conq presumably) will dps NON SPLASH damage on the satorus AWAY from the utamons. Any single target NONE splash damage on the satorus is FINE. Rule of thumb here - YOU WILL NOT DPS THE SATORUS if the tank on him hasnt positioned him yet. Its easy to tell if he has - he will stay on one spot and continue to hit him. When the utamons have shrunk down to size - ALL DPS will focus on him (accept ofc the boss dps group). That is every single person accept the 2 rangers and satorus tank will nuke the utamons. They go down really fast and after that the saturos will suffer some serious whip-ass from 3 full groups!
The second part of this tactic is of very high importance as well! If you look at the centre square (rectangle!?) in this arena you will see it has a border, slighly different of colour. Under NO circumstances may anybody go on this border. This border is the sole property of the tank/dps group on chata. You guys will use this border as your path to navigate to chata after every teleport. THus the tank will ALLWAYS be infront while going to chata, the rest of you behind him - SINGLE FILE GENTS!
This tactic is MY OWN tactic and I have done it only twice with a full guild raid compliment. No whipes on it as of yet and it works EXCELLENT. THe advantage of it being that all of the raid is in the immediate view range of the raid leader. Controll can be maintained easily. Communication is still very important here!
After chata transforms (disregarding wether or not you use pug raid tactic or my tactic) its important for all tanks to immediately go on him and pull him to the wall! The rest of this story we know, and if we came this far then the fight is in our pocket. Tanks have RIGHT OF PASSAGE after the transform. If you block a tank - you are doing something really bad! Tank who has agro will take his back to the wall. He will get stunned! Keep him healed as best you can. Other tanks will be on his side and rear doing dps constantly. YOU do NOT steal agro while a tank is positioning chata! You may only do so if his HP is low, OR he is stunned. This does not mean you stop dps. You need to dps to sustain agro. I'm sure the rest of this story you all know ;)

Not sayin u were doing bad at all. This is only my little input for that one or two people that can and want to learn a little extra on brc. Thus this is a minor "top-op" to brc raid info and not an overhaul out lay of what is to be done in the instance ;)

Raid efficiency

Postby Gert » 19 May 2010, 13:24

Thanks for the post Blod - I know some people new to raids have been asking for info like this.

One thing we all should remember is that we are efficient when we focus, use tactics we all understand and have fun...turning raids into an exercise of following someone else's list of 1-2-3 isn't my idea of fun (just look at the T3 runs and posts to see what I mean ;))

Hopefully we'll be back to normal guild raids next week as well so we can get back into the flow and take along some of our newer members to play with Farty :p
