For old an new people, here is a overview of your storage options:

You start the game with no bags and 24 slots in your inventory.

There is several bags that you can possibily claim via your characters, sometimes some with 16 additional slots sometimes more.
Here is a list of the high end bags, the ones you can eventualy get.

Bag of Engulfment -- 56 additional slots (80 total slots) -- At vendor, 80 gold.
Soldier's Haversack -- 56 additional slots (80 total slots) -- Crafted by weavers in Guild.
Commander's Haversack -- 64 additional slots (88 total slots) --Crafted by weavers in Guild.
Body Bag -- 72 additional slots (96 total slots) -- Jiang Shi Faction rewards 250 Rare Trophys and 200 Gold
Bag of Prosperity --72 additional slots (96 total slots) -- Item shop 2100 FC Points
Box of Twisted Ambits -- 96 (120 total slots) -- Item shop 2400 FC Points
Coffer of Nollity -- 122 additional slots (146 total slots) -- Item shop 3000 FC Points

There are several other bags but mostly you will only need to get one of those higher end bags when you decied to get your final bag.
