On our last T3 raid at Keeper, he sometimes moved mysteriously even that no1 pulled aggro. We suspected hastily that Idol was blocking the boss or dreadshadow and therefore causing movement. But I would like to dig this matter deeper, as it might be a reason why Arbanus is jumping around even when correctly tanked.

Would like any1 (not just ToS:es) share their thoughts and observations on the matter.


1st I'd like to remind that Idol placement is not guaranteed... If I place it on top of player or npc, it pops up nearest unobstructed position. Even other Idols and pets cause this.

Normally I place Idol of Rejuvenation on top of the boss or near tanks. Normal Idol I place near the boss little bit away.... or sometimes out of the aoe range.
On our last attempt Reju Idol was placed near tanks and in some point the boss moved and it didn't seem to be any aggro pull. For safety I placed Reju Idol behind the boss in later attempts... not top of him.

I have observed earlier that bosses can cast spells on Idols, in the same way like they can cast them on pets. F.e fire boss in T'ian'an likes to throw cocktails on Idols. If boss can't find path/range to Idol he tries to cast something on, then he might move.

Other possibility is that Idol indeed appear on top of boss and he moves to find unobstructed spot.

3rd possibility if that dread shadow can't move through Idol and causes havoc.

I saw at least 1 Idol placed next to Saer (between him and boss) and the boss moved around to Saer - there were couple idols up at the time as well...

We can always test this as well - just need some tanks and ToS and find an epic boss to fight and see if it happens
