Alrite brothers and sisters,

There hasn't been a post in here for a while so I thought I would brush of the dust. My first, and main, character was always a BS, infact I liked it so much I now have two. However, my second one is still a baby and has only just trained his tree of yggdrasil ( ) so to celibrate I wanted to talk about his feat set ups.

PvE
Teady bear healing
Dead bears do no healing hence IH. Debuff + support feats. I use this when there is a floppy tank. But I'm also using this with my new bear as I am just doing group instances collecting gear and don't have the power to do much dps anyway.

Bearback dps
Suicidal, but with all the useful AA around, there are some good tanks so aggro isn't too bad these days. + really fun to play and I use whenever I can really , usually this is isolated to T1/2 raids and when I have a good 6man group

Average bear
Pretty standard stuff. This one is for solo/raids/whatever, it's a slag it goes anywhere. Slight emphasis on dps.

PvP
PvP battle bear 1
PvP battle bear 2
Both are good builds, it just depends whether you want CoL, or not. I will run CoL until I have enough gear/AA on my new bear, then I think I'll change back to CoS +/- CoR if I'm not getting focused.

Current build

Focussed on dps. My BS only has T1/2 clothing but can hit around 800 dps (single target) with this build in a raid. Main combo's are Internal Bleed and Crush Armor (I don't use Shrewd Blow because it takes to long).

I have no points in extra healing feats (BoN, RoR, NR). In T1 and T2 it's not needed anyway. T3 maybe but you can compensate that with AA-feats like Bears and some healrating clothing.

Anyway, it has always been my way of playing healing classes to focus mainly on dps and fit the heals in when you got the DPS-part on a decent lvl.

Hey mist, thanks for the build! You're doctor in netherlands?

Yor build isn't too far off my dps one. The big debate is always Animalistic fury or ursine onslaught - so it is fair enough we differ there. I just love the big crits from SB :p But you specced gangrene in the wrath tree? I think i rarely used m.winter for pve as I get much nicer dps from m.forrest/sun and occasionaly m.spirit. Weight of the world is one of those things I still havn't quite made up my mind about. If I was to use it in any build, it would be mutilation. Perhaps I will try taking out a couple of points from poisoned hide

My main combos are CA (2 ranks), IB and then SB if i have time amongst the insane amount of micromanaging

I see our main difference in the spirt tree is that you went for utility while I opted for the health bonus. I really like ether theft, but because I use this build for group/raids (usually with strong enough DT) i don't usually need the extra mana and as it doesn't fit in my rotation (lower dps I think, although still a nice 1 stepper) so I tend to leave it out. Hehe and I can't give up single point in companion spirit, it makes quite a nice difference and 2x claws is excellent... besides, I tend to use tree rather than sleuth so I get lonely without it :shifty:

I respecced this morning after a lot of play testing and head scratching. Been thinking about it for a little while now since i started playing my BS a lot more over the past few months. I have always tended to tailor my spec towards the good of the group rather than being focussed purely on being imba personally (lets face it - no matter what build i spec, i'll never be imba :p). It's not massively different from what I had previously and the main change is that i no longer have Rune of Regrowth or Ursine Spirit specced. Instead have put the points into Mutilation for a bit more dps on Internal Bleeds. I've had RoR specced for a long long time but I find that outside of raids i rarely use it... and the casting time is so laborious that i find myself using it less and less in raids anyway.

I have been toying with the idea of dropping Balance of Nature but i just can't bring myself to do it. Whenever i play as a tank or a rogue in a group I could just hug the BS's that have this specced. The stamina regen from this for group members is unbelievable and really helps out the tanks and rogues imho to just put the pedal to the floor and not have to worry about running out of juice. The only thing i really wanted to spec is claws of the reaper but i'll have to make too much of a sacrifice to what I consider to be my core feats to make it work.

Now if FC would just give the BS a nice self rez ability i'll be golden :D

Thanks for posting minoc! Self-res would be golden in pve  love using it on ToS! BoN is awesome too, I don't always appreciate it until I don't feat it.

I like your build and I totally agree about RoR, not so sure about speccing both UO and AF though, hehe

I knew you'd say that mate :D ... all i'll say is this: What's the only thing stronger than a wild bear with a powerful left hook ? A powerful left AND right hook!

I'm like Ivan Drago mate from Rocky 4 - whatever i hit, i destroy.
