Minor changes from Live build - shifted points from Archmage into Mind Phase and dropped a point from Gate of Hell to Blazing Fire for the debuff chance.

New Havoc build for me - some nice dmg though

Tried the Havoc build it lacks something after being used to the Conflag build...it's a nice build but dmg seems a bit low - found it hard to get over a 3k crit

One thing with the Havoc build - was really hard to get the mana bar moving...was just under 7k mana and never went below 6.5k

BBQ build, SH run...time to make the Necros cry

0 deaths, 2 health pots used, 0 mana pots used; full feated regen pet used. Full Tier 1 gear used. Total time in SH - 18mins I was able to take 5 mobs on (with Planar Shift up) and do Let Them Burn on them without problem...without Planar Shift, 2 was more than enough Elder Pict boss was a pushover - no Planar Shift needed, just need to move when the targetted aoe was set off; time to kill was 53 secs. Ghost boss was a joke - stun, debuff with Hellfire Stream then Let Them Burn; total time for Ghostie was 37 secs. Iron Jaw was 23 secs

Damage breakdown:

85% fire/15% elec (can't do screenie of breakdown as some of the entries are truncated).

Top attack - Fires of Gelhanna @ 142,485 dmg

One thing I did see, Chaotic Blast does the Necro chain fatility when you do a fatality with it now. It's also a targettable aoe which is nice

Demon pet did 10k dmg, Living Firestorm was 3.2k (used it twice)

I think I'll stick with Conflag

With a bit of tweaking/different spell rotation/pulling more mobs I reckon I could get to 500DPS - was surprised that Conflag was so good still considering the doom and gloom posts...if I get chance I'll rerun with the Shocking build to get a feel.

I think the HoX could probably match the Demo - not sure why the Necro seems low compared to this though...

Maybe because Necro relies on DoTs and that's parsed differently (doubt it)? I did get the bosses down quicker than you tho as I did use SW on those fights

I didn't use any SW Not really a fan of SW for some reason - using the Pacts/Conflag buffs seems to give me the damage I want

DoTs will get parsed properly...I think the main thing is Demo is direct dmg with some DoTs so can take a single target quicker than a Necro who relies on DoTs with some direct dmg. Comparing the logs this seems to hold out...for example, Flesh to Worms was DoT'ing for around 260-280; Fires of Gelhanna was single target dmg of around 1,200 - 2,000 (when buffed); so if your mob died before the DoT could expire you'd be losing DPS

Your Fires of Gehenna (Rank 6) crits Crocodile Elder for 3343 fire damage.

Biggest crit I managed - no pacts but Greater Flames/Flame Body/Unholy Hate/Cursed by Hell was up.

Seems Chill is the best single target damage for a Necro:

Your Chill (Rank 5) crits Trapped Ghost for 3144 frost damage.

That was your highest crit from the log...not sure what debuffs/buffs were running.

I don't think SH is a good place to try and compare the 2 - maybe HoX/Demo but probably not Necro/Demo. Somewhere like Onyx or possibly Xib/AF where the mobs vary would be better imo.

Either way, I don't think Conflag Demos have too much to worry about Biggest nerf I saw was we can't use all 3 pacts at once now

That Chill crit was quite buffed I think- unbuffed crits usually hit for 2.7k-2.9k

Ah well I'll go see what the HoX can do now

Update: Ouch, did a nice SH run but the game didn't log anything Maybe should've waited a few more minutes for the character to copy.

BBQ build is still doing some nice damage...one day I'll get round to using SW as well and then I'll see how good it can be
